About Dunboyne Tennis Club
2012 Membership Discount
Dunboyne Tennis Club was formed about 1980 using the car park at Dunboyne National Primary School. It later moved to Dunboyne Community Centre and is today located in Clonee Village, just off the N3. It has 4 AstroTurf courts, 1 practice court, table tennis, a car park and a new 2-storey Clubhouse which opened in 2009.

Adult club hours
are on Sunday from 10.30 to 12.30 and on Tuesday and Thursdays from 19.30 till late.
We also run a ladies morning each Monday from 10.30am. Friday morning social tennis from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Subsidised Junior Coaching
for members is on Friday evenings 17.30 to 18.30 and Saturdays 16.00 to 17.00
Teen club hours
are on Friday evenings from 19.30 to 21.30. This year we have also added a Teen hitting session on Wednesday evenings from 19.30 to 20.30
Teenage members under 16 years must always have adult supervision when playing tennis on our courts.
Courts are available to members at all times, except during club hours and when needed for tournaments, which have priority, or if you are notified by members of the committee. Courts may be booked by members by going to www.reservemycourt.com. This service will allow you to check on court availability and make reservations from the internet.
Dunboyne Tennis Club plays its competitive tennis in the greater Dublin area, within the catchment area of the DLTC, in which 70 clubs play their competitive tennis. DTC takes part in several Dublin Leagues:
Winter League - Doubles [Jan/Feb]
Summer League - Singles & Doubles [May]
Mixed League - Mixed Doubles [July]
Senior Leagues - Doubles [Sept]
Junior Leagues - Singles & Doubles [Sept/October]
Floodlight League - Singles & Doubles [Nov]
Teams are chosen by the Team Selectors. Players are then asked to take part. If you wish to take part you can also sign-up at the clubhouse.
Joining one of DTC's ladders is a good way to introduce yourself to competitive tennis before playing in the leagues.

There are currently 3 online ladders operating at DTC. 'Dunboyne Men Singles', 'Dunboyne Ladies doubles', and 'Dunboyne Teenagers M'.

The Ropey Ladder doesn't believe in taking ladders too seriously - it spoils the fun - so the ladder rules should be applied with a degree of flexibility and good humour. Remember, it's only a game!...

We now have the good fortune to boast 3 coaches at Dunboyne Tennis club as 2 of our members have recently completed their Tennis Ireland qualifications. Coaching announcements are regularly made in the club's newsletter. Judy runs our group coaching sessions on a Monday evening for adults - 7:30pm to 8:30pm [beginners], 8:30 to 9:30pm [Improvers] and Wednesday for Kids 4:30 to 5:30pm for 5-8year olds, 5:30 to 6:30pm for 9 -11year olds.
Paul has coached our mens and ladies league teams, he runs junior programmes Monday to Saturday and subsidised junior club members coaching 5-6 pm Saturdays.
Paul runs Adult Group lessons on Mondays evenings. On Fridays he coaches teenager improvers from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and runs teenage club night 7.30pm 9.30 pm.
Judy Smyth is a Qualified TICA coach. Judy qualified in 1970 and maintains her tennis education with attendance at Tennis Ireland Coaching Forums every year. Judys immense love of tennis is clearly seen and happily passed on to adults and children alike.

A competitive player in the club, Paul combines his playing experience, his genuine love of the game and his energetic coaching style to deliver group and individual programmes for players at all levels. Paul is a qualified TICA coach (2010) and is also an approved International Tennis number Assessor and Cardio tennis instructor.
